Highland Community College remained undefeated with a 124-66 victory over Central Community College in opening round play of the SECC Holiday Classic.
The Scotties forced 37 Raider turnovers, which contributed to a 55 percent (47-86) shooting performance. Highland also won the rebounding battle, 44-35.
Six Scotties scored in double figures, led by Jameka Dowell with 20 points. The Raiders sported three players in double figures with reserve Maddy Wolfe leading the way with 18 points.
"We played well in the first half, but then we fell apart in the second," said CCC head coach Mike Kroupa.
The Raiders will round out the SECC Holiday Classic on Saturday against Fort Scott.
