The Central Community College women's basketball team hosted the Concordia University JV at home on November 4th. This was women's basketball's first home game of the season. A recap of the game is below:
The Bulldogs' relentless attack was spearheaded by a hot-shooting night, especially from beyond the arc, where they converted at a 35% clip. Their defense was stifling, putting significant pressure on the Raiders' offense throughout the contest. Ultimately, Concordia secured a decisive victory, 114-59. While the score reflects a difficult outcome, the Central Raiders are already looking forward, aiming to sharpen their focus on the areas where they struggled. Jayla Merrill led the charge for Central, putting up a solid all-around performance with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. This led CCC in those stats.
Women's Basketball moves to 1-2 and are in action next at the Iowa Central Tournament this weekend vs Metro CC and Central Lakes College-Brainerd.
