The Central Community College women's basketball team hosted Ellsworth CC at home, on Saturday, February 7th. A recap of the match is below:
Central Community College fell to Ellsworth Community College 74–58. After a slow start, the Raiders found their rhythm in the second frame, exploding for 24 points to take a 32–28 lead into the locker room. However, a tough third quarter allowed the Panthers to reclaim momentum and pull away. The highlight of the afternoon was Lexi Fiscus, who put together a dominant double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. The Raiders also showed great discipline at the charity stripe, finishing the game with an impressive 80% from the free-throw line. On the glass, Jordyn Sheridan fought hard to pull down 10 rebounds, but Central ultimately couldn't overcome a high-scoring second half from the Ellsworth bench.
Raiders move to 8-17 and are in action next at Northeast CC on February 11th.
